The role of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Solution Architect involves creating and developing business applications and support functions in alignment with specified business needs and use cases. This position offers a chance to lead the transformation of ERP software management for a medium-sized financial institution, showcasing your ability to deliver exceptional business value.

For this role, we cannot provide sponsorship. We require applicants to work in either Eastern or Central time zones.

You will:

Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all CRM development related issues, concerns, and needs.
Build business applications and customize Dynamics 365 forms.
Provide leadership to implement strategic business objectives with an emphasis on application architecture.
Manage deployments and configurations.
Design, develop, and implement solutions to further expand our use of Microsoft Dynamics across the organization in accordance with business objectives.
Effectively translate use cases and requirements into user stories.
Provide training and documentation.
Develop solution components: managed/unmanaged solutions, publishers, versions.
Design form structure using specialized components, access teams, sub-grids, and navigation.
Implement form customizations for various form types and mobile clients.
Customize views, charts, dashboards, and themes.
Manage CRM entity properties and both system and custom entities.
Configure fields, including properties, calculated and rollup fields, global option sets, alternate keys, and field-level security.
Utilize entity relationship types, cascading rules, hierarchical data, entity mapping, connections, and connection roles.
Apply business rules, process flows, and scopes appropriately.
Design application, technical, domain, and solution architecture, and oversee their implementation.

Requirements:

Over 5 years of experience in developing, delivering, and overseeing the following proficiencies within MS Dynamics 365:
CRM Applications
Web Portals
Online Solutions
Forms
Views and Visualizations
Substantial enterprise-level expertise in implementing and maintaining the foundational CRM infrastructure.

Nice-to-haves:

JavaScript and C#
Knowledge of HTML and ASP.NET
Strong experience with SQL databases
Power Apps experience, or developing on Power Platform
Testing and troubleshooting experience
Microsoft Certification. Please specify the level below.

Delivering from a distance

One of Kunai’s original employees, Andrii Gorishnii, was first based in Ukraine along with a core team of engineers before shifting stateside. “As Russia invaded, we were about to deploy a new release,” he recalled. “Despite air raids, the team continued to work when possible. We even deployed according to schedule!” Gorishnii takes pride in the sense of belonging he feels at Kunai; this drives his work ethic. “Once you have your brain wired to understand ownership of projects, it doesn’t matter if you’re remote or onsite,” he said. “All that matters is that you’re aiming toward delivery.”

If you’re obsessed with whatever your goal is, the environment you’re working in becomes less important. You make it work anywhere.

Staying connected is key

As a software engineer, Mahlet Borena enjoys the focus and solitude that being remote allows her to access; she looks forward to daily “stand-up” meetings and “jam sessions” that keep her team connected. “We discuss what we did the day before and what we want to do today, and we address any issues we may have,” she said. “You have a chance to ask any questions, and our team is quite good at answering them.” It’s not all work in such sessions, however. Playing activities like guessing games is just one way in which Kunai encourages employees to get to know each other as individuals.

Working remotely with Kunai allows me to travel and live in one of my favorite states, Florida, while doing what I love — which I couldn’t do if I worked onsite.

Remote work brings the world to the office

Sebastian Bernal enjoys attending Kunai’s all-hands meetings, where he lives vicariously through colleagues’ backgrounds. “You might see someone on their rooftop in Portugal, at the beach in Mexico, at a cabin in the mountains, in the car driving to their kid’s sporting event or at the standard home office desk,” he said. “It highlights the variety of our people and shows there are many things they can do while also doing badass work.” Behind Bernal, co-workers are likely to see the great outdoors — or the logo for Bull Moose Co., a nature blog and online store he maintains outside of work.

I’m an avid outdoorsman who loves fishing and hunting, so there have been days where I took all my meetings and work for the day while fishing at alpine lakes and enjoying the outdoors.
