The MFG Software Infrastructure Domain Architect is accountable for the effective enablement of business capabilities for the MFG Software Infrastructure Domain. The MFG Software Infrastructure Domain Architect will partner with Scrum Masters/Project Managers, Product Owners, and Enterprise Architects to design and realize capability enablement in support of portfolio planning and solution development.
The MFG Software Infrastructure Domain Architects will exhibit the depth of knowledge and expertise within their respective technology or portfolio domain. Their focus is to define and promote healthy capability stewardship, data integrity, and best practices.
Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Conceptualize and design detailed strategic plans and roadmaps that define and prioritize key programs and projects that will deliver business results
  • Identify business opportunities and develop initial business cases for potential solution development efforts
  • Perform highest level solution alternative analysis to support strategic decision making for a given domain
  • Architect and design comprehensive solutions that meet business requirements in support of a given domain
  • Works with Scrum Master/Project Manager, Product Owner, and Enterprise Architect to outline project needs for the domain
  • Collaborate with other Domain Architects on cross-domain solutions
  • Ensures comprehensive and complete work practices and processes are in place and effective
  • Responsible and accountable for assisting with communications and marketing efforts for the MFG Software Infrastructure organization
  • Influence senior leaders on matters of architectural significance
  • Guide MFG Software Infrastructure team members on solution architecture, business processes, and software development best practices
  • Work with 3rd party vendors

  • Broad understanding of Micron's enterprise systems landscape and how the systems enable the business required
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills required, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
  • Strong strategic planning capabilities required (approaches and processes, tools, deliverables)
  • Ability to network and build rapport with business and technology leaders, SMEs, and influencers required
  • Ability to research and gain knowledge about business and technological trends required
  • Ability to represent complex ideas with simple visuals and views for different business and technology stakeholders required
  • Ability to prioritize initiatives based on business criticality and technological complexity required
  • Ability to establish changes as needed and energize and influence others towards achieving the goal required
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Excellent technical skills required including but not limited to .NET, C#, C++, SQL
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills required
  • Ability to work with developers and other team members in a diverse worldwide environment required
  • Experience with project management preferred


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a specific domain such as enterprise middleware messaging systems, entitlement authorization systems, cloud application development, containers, etc.
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments
  • Basic understanding of strategic and new and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models
  • Understanding of agile methods and processes, and capability of supporting agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt
