As a Metro Shift Process Engineer in Fab4, you will enable TD deliverables by; supporting manufacturing, improving process efficiencies, correcting process excursions and increasing equipment up time and throughput. In this position, you will support existing processes, identify process and material improvements and correct process deviations. You will work closely with Process Development and Process Integration teams to improve and maintain area processes in order to meet critical needs while running and overseeing progress and data quality on experiments. Additionally, you will respond to production delays and implement solutions, work to reduce operating expenses, and work to improve product yields. You will use statistical process controls and data analysis to support and monitor the performance of processes and tools used to manufacture our state-of-the-art designs.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Process and Equipment Knowledge;
  • Recover common errors and troubleshoots new/unique errors
  • Write BKM compliant recipes with a very low error rate on assigned tool sets.
  • Escalate problems as needed
  • Maintain correct and current equipment logging information


Application and Software Knowledge:

  • Effectively uses Micron Internal, toolset specific, and analysis software.


SPC Knowledge:

  • Understand how our partners use data created by metro team.
  • Troubleshoot when data is not available, understands relations between recipe set up and reported data.


Teamwork:

  • Professional Conduct
  • Positive and supportive Team Interaction with regards to peers, manufacturing team, customers and 1st shift metrology engineers.
  • Provide training for new team members when needed.


Problem Solving:

  • Understand available data, tools, and resources for troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting skills, Ability to identify problems, including root cause analysis
  • Seek and enable new data sources that will enable more effective area troubleshooting and problem solving

  • Provide feedback for continuous area improvement both for documentation improvements and area improvement projects/focus teams
  • Continuing education and professional development
  • Adapt to dynamic job responsibilities
  • Have general knowledge of current process flows and uses that knowledge to drive critical decisions.

  • Minimize own recipe set up errors, deviations, rework, scrap, excursions
  • Identity and drive area actions to minimize deviations in the area.


Safety:

  • Identify and promptly report hazards, stops work for unsafe conditions/behaviors
  • Follow safety procedures and area work rules including proper PPE, lockout and chemical safety
  • Operate and maintain equipment and tools within manufacturer's and company guidelines
  • Use proper lifting techniques and work in an ergonomically correct manner
  • Reports Safety Incidents/Injuries
  • Does not take shortcuts or bypass safeguards

Education Requirements:

  • An Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Technology, Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology, Manufacturing Systems Technology, Industrial Electronics Technology or similar applicable field
