About this role:
As a Manager, Systems Engineering within the Research & Systems Engineering team, you will be exposed a diverse set of software engineering and data science problems spanning SaaS, Machine Learning, Big Data, and Mobile technologies in the context of addressing unmet clinical needs. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team to develop a deep understanding of our end-to-end systems, helping to drive successful delivery of software projects throughout its development life cycle

Responsibilities
- Mentor and grow team of junior and experienced systems engineers
- Establish systems engineering standards for the team, as well as participate in continuous improvement of design control processes with other leaders
- Work with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to research, define, and write technical requirements and plan for V&V/release activities
- Identify and perform data analysis to aid product and implementation decisions
- Develop, monitor, and communicate system performance metrics for ongoing visibility; lead root cause investigations and provide solutions for identified issues.
- Update and maintain Design History File

- Are self-motivated and demonstrates initiative in helping others
- Have effective presentation and interpersonal skills
- This is a transitionary role from IC to management: first-time managers with exceptional individual contributor track records are encouraged to apply
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of algorithm development/systems engineering experience in the Healthcare, Medical Device, or other regulated software industry
- 0-5 years of management, mentorship, or supervisory experience
- Experience leading medium to large sized projects with executive visibility
- Professional software development experience with one or more of Python, Java, C#, or C/C++
- Understanding of basic statistics and proficiency with data analysis using Python (e.g., pandas) or R
- Experience developing technical product/software requirements
- Experience working with large amounts of data and tools to handle them (e.g., AWS, Spark, SQL)
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix/Windows environments
- BA/BS in science or technical field; Advanced engineering degree desired
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FDA 21 CFR part 820 and IEC standards 62304, 14971, and 62366
- Experience using Splunk
