Job Description

We are looking for a Manager, Solutions Engineering, Overlay to join our team. In this role, you will lead members of Procore’s Solution Engineering Overlay team consisting of construction experts and tenured Sales Engineers. In this revenue-generating leadership position, you will provide all necessary technical pre-sales support to Primary Sales Engineers and Account Executives who work with potential and existing Procore customers. You will provide mentorship and coaching, establish best practices, and manage team performance. Successful candidates are excited to drive a high-performance, high-accountability culture to exceed sales goals. 

This position will report to our Manager, Solutions Engineering, and Overlay and has the opportunity to be located in any of our North American offices, or be primarily remote within a North American time zone. 

What you’ll do:

• Partner with Solutions Engineering Leadership - US, International, and Strategic - to focus the team on activities that produce the biggest results, increase average sales price (ASP), and product attaches rates.

• Partner with Revenue Leadership to develop and enhance strategic and technical execution practices and assets which include but are not limited to: building out the team's product knowledge base, discovery and demonstration tactics, and internal wiki pages. This also includes working with Customer Service and Strategic Product Consulting Leadership, driving improved cross-departmental collaborations between pre and post-sales engagements.

• Work with the product development team to identify and communicate critical needs of prospective and current clients' requirements as well as lead and assist with go-to-market (GTM) efforts of new products and/or high-impact revenue generation features and functions. Support the development of the Sales team through internal training by working closely with Product Marketing and Sales Enablement.

• Establish processes and engagement criteria for Overlay team involvement in supporting deeper technical evaluations. Help establish best practices for: opportunity assistance, internal and external thought leadership, sales team enablement, and alignment with Product Development. 

• Maintain a current understanding of Procore’s target market technical requirements and trends.

• Recruit, train, and support new Solutions Engineer Overlay teammates.

• Lead a product-specific Solutions Engineer Overlays team to support the needs of Procore’s sales organization. For clarity around the opportunity, there are two main components that make the Solutions Engineer Overlay Team currently: Financials Overlays and Field Operations Overlays. This Manager position will oversee one of the two teams.

  • Financials Overlays specialize in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Integrations, FinTech, Invoice Management & Payment Execution, and Project Cost Management product focus areas. 

  • Field Operations Overlays specialize in BIM, Preconstruction, Project Management, Security and Compliance, Quality & Safety, and Workforce Management product focus areas.

What we're looking for:

• Seasoned Solution Engineering professionals with a combined 5+ years experience in technical B2B sales, SaaS preferred, and/or combined 5+ years experience in the construction industry, implementing and working within complex SaaS technology solutions.

• Must be technology evangelists and promoters of modernizing the Real Estate and Construction industry.

• Prior people management experience in SaaS sales and/or construction is preferred.

• Procore platform usage is preferred.

• Understanding of complex web and mobile applications utilized for documentation management, project management, or similar. Proven technical aptitude in utilizing tools and software on a daily basis. Proficiency with CRM tools, MS Office, and/or Google Applications.

• Understanding and/or strong interest in developing a working knowledge of enterprise technology environments including storage, database, data warehousing, data integration, data analytics, and security.

Additional Information

Base Pay Range $149,709-$177,775 plus commission for an estimated on-target earnings of $213,870-$253,965 Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
