Manager Solutions Engineering, Automation
The Automation Manager will own all automation efforts and joins a team of extremely technical individuals with a focus on tackling complex issues, solving time sensitive problems, and delivering robust solutions to the organization. The team is responsible for executing building solutions to security use cases through automation of several types and plays a central role in production workflows. This individual will design & implement platform standards, manages requirements and stakeholders, process creation and solution building across a forward thinking, technology driven organization focused on delivering solutions that help reduce time to value, revolve around automation and follow a cloud first mentality.
This position is virtual / remote working from a home office, unless required otherwise.
Position Responsibilities

  • Accountable for projects and team work to develop security solutions for stakeholders
  • Recommend and implement continuous integration/continuous development processes, peer review, coding style, and development conventions
  • Work through the stack and across lanes to achieve outcomes
  • Actively participate in daily team standups, the agile process, peer code reviews, and pair programming
  • Pair with QA on delivery finalization and end-customer state acceptance criteria
  • Mentor, train, and motivate new developers and other security professionals
  • Collaborate with other developers and product managers on feature design and system architecture

Requirements
Required Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • 5+ years of production python scripting
  • 3+ years experience with Splunk
  • 2+ years experience with Demisto/XSOAR
  • 5+ years of development experience with other APIs, including data and authentication providers
  • 3+ years of git-based version control systems with advanced knowledge of contribution strategies, testing practices, and CI/CD discipline
  • Experience developing idempotent configuration management and infrastructure as code with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation
  • Proficiency working with Linux system configurations and assessing the overall health of those systems with included performance monitoring tools
  • Understanding of the OSI model to execute on basic network troubleshooting and conceptualize end-to-end network connectivity
  • Able to stand up new technologies with limited guidance to fulfill company goals and objectives
  • Implemented data structures and algorithms with valuable outcomes in production projects
  • Implemented data storage, caching, and modeling practices in production projects
  • Implemented specific programming paradigms, software architecture, and design patterns in production projects
  • Implemented virtualization concepts and components with on cloud platform-as-a-service providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Skilled in system decomposition and work task organization, as used in Agile / Kanban methodology, SAFe Methodology, or ITIL
  • Skilled in task tracking with JIRA, ServiceNow, or ZenDesk
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a group effort, as required
  • Excellent problem-solving ability, planning mentality, and investigative mindset
  • Skilled, inclusive team member & communicator
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Experience working in cybersecurity, software startups, data intelligence, or telecom companies
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • Ability and interest to work remotely from a home office when not at a corporate office
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background and drug screen in accordance with applicable laws


Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • 3+ years of SOAR or SCADA development or other automation platforms, including Demisto, Swimlane, Detective, or Phantom
  • 3+ years of "big data" development and modeling, using Splunk, Elastic, Kinesis, Kafka, Spark, TensorFlow, etc.
  • Successful implementation of production software projects with demonstrated experience in the software architecture lifecycle
  • Experience in many programming languages and paradigms matched with the personality to demonstrate, explain, teach, and complete projects
  • Demonstrated understanding of CIS, NIST, MITRE
  • Experience modeling and documenting software systems and business processes
  • Experience in service design methodologies
  • Strong spoken and written communication abilities
  • Scrum Master or product owner experience
  • Ability to work independently with little to no technical guidance
  • Participation in the Cyber Security community with attendance at BlackHat, DEFCON, .conf, RSA, etc.


Colorado Candidates:
Minimum salary of one hundred twelve thousand dollars + stock options + benefits. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
*Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when working remotely from the state of Colorado.
