Manager of Software Engineering - Java/AWS applications

As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking, Home Lending Technology, you lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team's work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.
Job responsibilities

• Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
• Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
• Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
• Manages stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
• Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Expert experience with design, development, deployment, and support of large-scale applications in a mission-critical production environment
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Micro services, REST APIs
• Experience with Git, Maven, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
• Experience with NoSQL Databases (Cassandra is a plus)
• Experience with Message broker platforms (Kafka is a plus)
• experience leading technology projects and experience managing technologists
• Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience working at code level
• Practical cloud native experience. Experience with AWS EKS / ECS, Fargate and other AWS services is a plus
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
