Meeting your future team:

We are looking for a visionary engineering manager to join our growing engineering team. The mission of the Collaboration Team is to increase new and return user engagement in the Collibra platform by building and improving community-centric features that encourage collaboration.

You will collaborate with design, engineering, and product teams to deliver product vision and drive execution, while working with teams spanning across different regions including Europe, US, Canada and Asia Pacific. We believe our customers are our North Star, they are at the center of everything we do, and we obsess in building products that solve customer problems and needs.

Managers at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Leading and growing an inclusive, collaborative, and inspiring team
  • Bringing clarity on the team strategy, context, and company vision
  • Helping the team to set the right expectations with product managers, cross engineering teams, and other stakeholders
  • Understanding the current and future architecture of the Collaboration capabilities
  • Understanding the current and future roadmap of the Collaboration capabilities
  • Foster collaboration across the Product & Engineering organization and beyond to gather support for and accelerate the collaboration roadmap

You Have:

  • A solid professional background as a software engineer and strong experience as an engineering manager working with and/or leading a diverse team
  • Extensive knowledge of software development and engineering best practices including agile, version control, and containerization
  • Defined and managed the delivery of software technology evolution roadmaps
  • Experience with cloud-native SaaS and cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), as well with security, performance, resilience and scalability best practices

You Are:

  • Able to lead an engineering team by example and contribute to deliverables when needed
  • An effective and positive communicator with great written and verbal skills in English 
  • Continually pursuing best practices and trends and sharing them with the team
  • Ambitious to see your team grow in their careers and able to mentor and coach team
  • Able to partner with architects and product managers to define technology and architecture evolution roadmaps, always keeping the value for the customer in mind when defining priorities

Measuring Success:

  • Within your first month you will meet the team, get onboarded with Collibra products and start leading your team’s Agile practice.
  • Within your third month you will have a good understanding of the team, their challenges and priorities, the main projects the team is working on, and with the input from your engineering team and your product management partner, you will have a high level view on the vision and roadmap for Insights in the Collibra product. 
  • Within your sixth month you will have a good understanding of the product and be able to define, prioritize and lead the steps towards the strategic vision.
