As an Engineering Manager for Wealth data, you will lead one of the 4 scrum teams. providing technical design and solution delivery for Wealth Data Application. One must be a technical and people leader for a group of talented software engineers who are evolving and delivering the Data assets and services for the Wealth organization. Prioritize work, estimate complex deliverables, manage projects, groom the backlog, drive, and define team-level metrics, remove impediments, advance urgent issues, review code, and manage interactions with other development teams within the Wealth space.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team. Understand the intricacies of the systems. Provide technical guidance as needed.
- Ensures production stability, monitoring, and root cause analysis for Wealth Data assets.
- Hands-on with the codebase where and when appropriate.
- Participate and assist with design discussions.
- Assess technical solutions being provided by engineers. Ensure best practices and standards are followed. Participate in code reviews as needed.
- Mentor, guide, and coach engineers within their division for technical and leadership growth.
- Recruits, hires and onboard talent within respective department, ensuring the right mix of talent within team.
- Provide resources with feedback and career coaching. Work with direct reports on development and career planning.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 4-5 years of professional experience required
- 1-2 years technical leadership with or without direct reports
- 4-5 years of experience working with modern engineering tools, languages, and practices.
- Strong Experience with SQL
- Experience with Informatica, (or similar ETL tools)
- Experience with Python
- Proven track record of optimally crafting and delivering significant and impactful technology solutions.
- Experience developing and leading solution delivery using agile methods
- Capable of presenting between product, engineering, and the business
- Ability to optimally communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences in varying forms and levels of detail.
- Strong collaboration skills to ensure the team is working together even when they are not co-located.
