Job Description

The Manager of Packaging and Distribution is a part of the larger Assessment Technology Services team with accountability to plan, manage, and deliver paper setup for School Assessment contacts.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Packaging and Distribution team, including human resource management, overall program assignments, and creating consistency and efficiencies within the role. You will be expected to continually contribute to process and system improvements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and support members of the Packaging and Distribution team
  • Monitor team member performance and resolve issues by making revisions when necessary
  • Establish attainable and traceable goals in collaboration with team members
  • Review assessment administration schedules and provide input or negotiate dates with Technical Project Manager(s)
  • Plan and manage assessment administration setup activities
  • Point of escalation for Packaging and Distribution issues and manage issues as needed
  • Ensure processes and procedures are followed, update as needed
  • Plan and manage cost center budget and resources


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related is required
  • 8+ years of related experience in software development
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; must be a direct, articulate and thoughtful communicator
  • Comfortable leading critical conversations and issue resolution
  • Strong ability to develop, motivate, and manage teams
  • Robust organizational development and change management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and communicate project issues, status and competing priorities is required
  • Experience with Jira, SmartSheet, Microsoft 365

  • Must have strong time management skills including the ability to work well under pressure, plan and set priorities, adapt to change, and meet established timelines
  • Must possess a consultative approach with customers and internal stakeholders; easily develop rapport and trust with multiple individuals and personalities; encourages and supports collaboration
  • Ability to build credibility with leaders and drive initiatives across the organization
  • Able to work both on a team (as member and/or leader) and independently to deliver results
  • Previous experience working in a highly matrixed organization
  • Self-directed/self-sufficient work ethic
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams


The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $90-100k. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
