About the Team
Join a team of talented, dynamic and passionate software engineers, working with key architects, product managers, and other stakeholders delivering a new generation of on-demand Enterprise solutions designed to meet the needs of today's global businesses. The team's overall goal will be to accelerate the delivery of key Recruiting features in an agile environment while safeguarding the high quality our customers expect from Workday applications.
Workday is unique in that it builds enterprise software in the cloud on a single codeline through a continuous development model, allowing for rapid delivery of our software to our customers.
The successful candidate will be expected to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines, be passionate about building high quality enterprise applications and be innovative in their ideas.

This is an opportunity for a software development manager to design and create the next generation of our industry-leading Recruiting products and build brand new teams in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will be someone who has a mixture of delivery, tech and management experience.

It is a great opportunity for a manager who wants to grow within Workday, who is excited to work with a team that pushes for best practices in agile, continuous integration (CI)/continuous delivery (CD), test driven development (TDD), behavior driven development (BDD) and quality as a whole. • Lead software application engineering teams and help them deliver exceptional software for our Recruiting application
• Join the leadership team bringing Workday values and culture to our new Atlanta teams
• Be a leader and coach to bring your knowledge of software agility to the team
• Recruit and train top talent to build a strong and agile team
• Foster a fun and productive development environment (FUN is a core value!)
• Team up with Product Management and Quality Assurance to determine release scope and ensure that features meet our customer's needs
• Make connections and coordinate releases that span multiple teams and technologies
• Build productive relationships with stakeholders throughout the organization and keep them informed throughout the development cycle
• Understand and consistently practice our values. Help your team and everyone around you do the same

About You

• You've checked out our Core Values and found that your values align nicely. You're excited about helping us practice those values every day.
• 5+ years of experience leading development teams within a large development organization
• Expert in object-oriented software design and development
• Expert in agile software development and experience creating teams that deliver with agility
• You love mentoring and coaching your team for career growth and personal development
• Passionate about delivering innovative technical solutions and customer satisfaction
• You are delivery-focused, motivated, and adept at keeping long term goals in mind while delivering day-to-day
• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience leading multiple teams would be valuable in this role
• Talent acquisition and/or Federal business domain knowledge would be beneficial
