About the Role

In this role you will ensure that the team has a high-level engagement by communicating clear roles, providing career development opportunities, giving recognition and regular feedback, and creating a safe and fun environment that encourages collaboration and innovation. You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to provide estimates and initial assessment for proposed projects, plan releases, as well as track and report progress balancing resources as needed to ensure on-time and high quality delivery. You will work with scrum team(s) every day helping to guide them navigate ambiguity and competing priorities. It is your job to make sure that our teams are operating efficiently and helping to remove any impediments.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in computer science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience managing software development teams
  • 5+ years of commercial enterprise software experience
  • 5+ years of object oriented software design and development experience
  • 5+ years of proven experience with agile development methodologies
  • 3+ years of proven experience as a technical lead/team lead

Other Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for building strong engineering teams through mentoring and coaching
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Strong collaboration skills across functions and teams
  • Remains positive and professional in fast-paced and high pressure environments
  • You have a track record of ensuring that features meet requirements and that stakeholders are kept up to date throughout the development lifecycle
  • Proactive and constantly striving for continuous improvement
  • Experience working with remote or cross location teams
  • Experience with production support is a plus
  • Experience with the HCM, Payroll, or Financials domain is a plus
