Overview
Working under general supervision, performs audit functions in accordance with the Vendor Management Policy to ensure the Company is complying with mortgage-related federal and state laws and regulations. Primary responsibilities include initiating and completing audits as required within the Vendor Management Platform, independently completing targeted reviews of the Vendor Management processes in both corporate level entities as well as Divisional Lines of Business, executing invoice reconciliation, and reporting audit findings to management teams within Corporate Administration, Lines of Business and corporate oversight committees.
Job Description

  • Analyze divisional and corporate compliance with the Vendor Management Policy and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Conduct QA audits and produce reporting analyzing compliance alignment and exceptions for all phases of the Vendor Management lifecycle, including contracts, Due Diligence, and vendor scorecards
  • Execute ongoing testing of Vendor Management process to evaluate, analyze and assess risk, detect errors, or identify conflicts of interest
  • Coordinate QA efforts cross-functionally, escalating / resolving issues and identifying trends
  • Ensure audit calendar is followed as designed, and audit results are captured consistently and in appropriate detail
  • Work with divisional partners in executing and maintaining the invoice reconciliation process
  • Manage and respond to state and federal licensing review requests and audits
  • Ensure deliverables and required audits are completed in a timely manner and provided to senior management
  • Gather, review and investigate vendor information and conduct additional research or testing as necessary
  • Identify, recommend and implement QA and technology related improvements where possible
  • Maintain audit logs for internal and external oversight partners
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • General knowledge of the mortgage industry (retail, correspondent lending, wholesale, compliance, risk)
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with performing control evaluations, risk assessments, and monthly testing /monitoring
  • Strong organizational, analytical and research skills, attention to detail, ability to work under time constraints
  • Good interpersonal skills and a high degree of initiative
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and mathematical skills, while utilizing sound judgement
