Job Description
WHAT YOU"LL BE DOING:
As the Network Engineering Manager you will provide leadership for a team of network engineers responsible for the implementation and support of a global wide area network of over 260 locations, inclusive of voice, data (LAN/WAN) and contact center solutions. The successful candidate will create technology road maps, manage budgets, oversee projects, manage service level agreements, build/maintain vendor relations, and ultimately maintain accountability to our internal business customers.
You will be trusted to:
- Manage network design, lead network solution implementations and direct troubleshooting activities for service outages.
- Maintain and optimize network services to increase stability, maximize availability and control costs while maintain PCI compliance where necessary
- Define and maintain standards for network solutions across the enterprise.
- Understand, develop and improve procedures for network data center operations
- Manage internal and external service level agreements for network availability
- Provide timely and accurate communications to stakeholders as required
- Manage initiatives for improving contact center solutions, advising on best practices and identifying continuous improvement opportunities
- Evaluate vendor proposals and determine the best fit for the company's needs
- Develop/maintain strong relationships with internal customers as their primary point of contact for network services
- Develop/maintain strong relationships with service providers
- Recruit, mentor, and build an effective organization in support of network services
- Negotiate and contract with consultants, technical personnel and vendors for services and products
- Develop, maintain and test disaster recovery plans
- Lead capacity planning, tuning and network infrastructure planning in the datacenter

This is a hybrid model position that is based out of Richardson, TX (Dallas - Ft Worth Metroplex). This position works remote on Mondays and Fridays and in office Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday.

Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably IT or Computer Science discipline
- 10+ years network engineering experience
- 5+ years managing senior technical resources and network engineers
- Demonstrated experience in the development of comprehensive proposals
- Extensive experience in - Cisco networking, data and voice convergence, video conferencing services, cloud services network integration, wireless technologies, supplier management for carriers and service providers
- In depth understanding of TCP/IP networking, subnetting, OSI model, and related
- Extensive technical knowledge and experience managing and maintaining large-scale, highly available, Internet facing networks
- Extensive experience troubleshooting multi-tier Internet applications platforms and cloud networking interfaces
- Experience with converged and software defined networking
- Experience implementing pragmatic network security and audit controls
- Analytical and critical thinking skills
- Solid understanding of network configuration and troubleshooting on a range of server operating systems
- Experience with contact center solutions
