Responsibilities

Primary Responsibility:

Working manager position responsible for the JDA/RedPrairie (RP) development team and serves as a technical mentor while always maintaining a holistic view of all efforts to ensure maximum benefit to the organization. Architects and defines specifications for complex programming applications, and modifies and maintains existing complex applications using the software application and utilities provided by JDA/RP. Directs and validates the work of other programming team members and contractors. Designs and implements applications and integrations for Warehouse, Transportation, Customers and Vendors. Builds consensus with cross functions for new feature development and tactfully manage different resources based on the strengths and weaknesses to ensure expectations are communicated professionally.

Essential Functions:• Lead and manage project workload distribution for the JDA/Redprairie Technical team.• Perform annual reviews and consistent feedback for each of the team members. • Provide technical leadership to the team and aides in making the best decision for the business. • Help development team eliminate blockers.• Schedule team meetings and reports progress back to manager• Run Daily Stand ups and lead/participate in the planning exercise.• Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of applications related to the JDA/RP environment.• Support and design new solutions for JDA/RP system integrations with i-3pl and other WMS if necessary.• Design and develop complex work flow tools to facilitate efficient business processes• Analyze existing business processes and identify improvement opportunities using design and architectural knowledge.• Provide leadership and hands on management for JDA/RP upgrades and implementation• Provide the technical connection between the project managers, developers, and business process owners• Partner with the infrastructure team and advise them on key architectural decisions concerning the platform and the supporting technologies.• Evaluate projects from a technical stance, ensuring that the development methods used are correct and practical.• Define system requirements, identify resources and estimate timelines for project completion• Produce technical architectures that are modifiable, dependable and scalable• Ensure the quality and sign-off of Integration designs proposed by project teams. • Review technology and project upgrades for non JDA/RP technologies integrated with JDA/RP, to ensure the technical and business upgrades have no material impact on JDA/RP architectures. • Recommend any additional hardware or software requirements needed for successful JDA/RP deployments, configuration, or maintenance. • Evaluate proposals in order to identify potential problem areas, and make the appropriate recommendations. • Prepare and deliver activity and progress reports for presentation to the Americold management team. • Partner with Project teams, Sustainment teams, and pure technical teams to ensure seamless maintenance of the JDA/RP landscape. • Ensure technical changes to the all production JDA/RP environments are risk managed • Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the Software Development Lifecycle in the JDA/RP WMS Platform. • Other duties as requested.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:• Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.• 5-8 years of experience in JDA/RP application development and solutions integration/implementation • 1-2 years management experience and/or proven success in a leadership role• Experience working in JDA/RP environment with functional knowledge across the core functionality of JDA/RP WMS, MOCA Architecture/Commands.• Experience in JDA/RP testing (plans, specifications, procedures, reporting, result presentation) • Experience in integration solution design and methodology • Experience with C#, Microsoft.NET and Java is preferred.• Experience with EDI• Experience in Agile/Scrum processes

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:• Working knowledge of software design technologies, best practices, etc.• Working knowledge of applicable hardware platforms.• Ability to balance between deadlines and quality deliverables.• Knowledge of SOX Compliance/ SDLC processing• Excellent written and oral communication skills.• Exceptional interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation• Demonstrated ability to influence small teams • Ability to work on multiple demanding project teams simultaneously • Demonstrated planning, task organizing and execution skills.• Strong customer service skills and proven ability to work with both internal and external customers at all levels.• Ability to communicate with developers, DBAs, System Admins and vendor (JDA/RP) • Strong technical writing and analytical skills

Physical Requirements:• Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, with frequent interruptions• Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, and reaching, or bending• Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work • Talking, hearing, and seeing are important elements of completing assigned tasks• May require travel by automobile and airplane up for business• May require a visit facility operations in temperatures at or below freezing• May carry loads related to travel and occasionally lifts, carries, positions, or moves objects weighing up to 20 pounds• Requires the use of various electronic tools • Requires the ability to relate to others beyond giving and receiving instructions: must partner with colleagues without exhibiting behavioral extremes• Requires the performance of work activities including reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, or speaking with others; and respond appropriately to constructive feedback from executive management
