Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a candidate with leadership skills to manage a team of electrical engineers within the Hardware Engineering organization. The team of individuals specialize in computational electromagnetics and RF antenna modeling in an installed environment.

Emphasis is placed on leading a team of that develop and utilize modeling tools and techniques to support performance predictions on development and production programs, as well as new business pursuits. This position will be located in Baltimore, MD.

The qualified applicant will functionally manage a team of individuals who specialize in computational electromagnetics and RF antenna modeling in an installed environment. Our engineering work includes computational tool development and applied modeling to support full life-cycle programs including system design, system integration, hardware design, hardware integration and hands-on build and test.

As a Hardware Engineering manager, day-to-day responsibilities include employee engagement, performance management, career development, employee rewards and recognition, and resolving personnel issues. Additional responsibilities include increasing engineering competencies through strategic hiring and employee skills development, labor forecasting and execut ion through close collaboration with program management, and balancing employee needs with business goals. The manager of the this particular team will also be expected to help lead and manage Internal Research and Development (IRAD) activities to develop new tools and techniques, as well as to participate in roadmapping activities for the development of new modeling capabilities.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline - Minimum 8 years of related engineering experience including 6 years hardware engineering experience - Able to work well within a team environment and adapt quickly to change - Demonstrated technical and people leadership of diverse and inclusive teams - Time management skills and a proven ability to follow through with commitments - Strong written, oral communication, and organizational skills - Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

- Able to work in a fast paced environment where multiple projects are being developed and deployed simultaneously - Experience with program management, functional management, and/or customer management skills - Experience with computational electromagnetics (CEM) - Experience with modeling techniques for electromagnetic scattering from media - Experience with computational techniques such as: Domain Decomposition Method (DDM); Finite Element Method (FEM); Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD); Method of Moments (MoM); Fast Multipole Method (FMM); Physical Optics (PO) - Experience with utilizing High Performance Clusters (HPC) for computational modeling - Experience with developing RF modeling tools - Experience with modeling finite arrays in an installed environment. - Experience with business development activities - Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

Salary Range: $134,148.00 - $201,222.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to basepay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO)for vacation and/orpersonal business.
