Chosen candidate will provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and mentoring for full-stack development teams that build and enhance products for our SaaS product line. Ensure we keep the talent bar high and continuously grow the skills and capabilities of the agile teams. Provides technical leadership, insights, and motivation to multiple teams, working towards delivering reliable, efficient, high quality software solutions, and delivering features, enhancements, bug fixes and other deliverables on time with required operational efficiency. 

A day in the life! 

In this role, your mission is: 

To create the backbone of the WellSky network. To deliver on WellSky promises to connect our various solutions to referral networks and health information exchanges and ensuring the free flow of patient data between WellSky and 3rd party solutions. To follow a product-led approach to managing the WellSky enterprise platform and coach the different teams to deliver innovation faster to the market. 

 

Your goals are: 

  • Enable the WellSky Network by 
  • Delivering Enterprise Referral Manager 
  • Delivering WellSky Direct 
  • Delivering CommonWell 
  • Collaborate with the different solutions teams that need to interface with the share enterprise services 
  • Staff sustainable and focused teams that can operate independently and autonomously. 

Your responsibilities are: 

  • Deliver enterprise services following the WellSky Development process 
  • Ensure that the enterprise services are easily usable by their client teams 
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team, Enterprise teams and end-market teams to evolve the technical requirements for the enterprise services  
  • Continue a new model of engagement with Solutions Management and UX to empower teams 
  • Hire, coach mentor, and fire a small team of high-performing engineers 
  • Foster an engineering cultural of communication, collaboration, and delivery of value to WellSky clients 

 

Do you have what it takes? 

Required Experience: 

  • Served as technical leader in delivering a microservices-based product. 
  • Demonstrated delivery of commercial solutions using public cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure). 
  • Experience running engineering teams using Agile/Scrum. 

 

Required Abilities: 

  • Quickly pick up enterprise development processes and effectively operate within those processes. 
  • Deeply understand the end-user experience: usability, interfaces, inter-operation. 
  • Work in multidisciplinary teams with other platform teams and end-market teams to evolve requirements for enterprise services. 
  • Understand existing structures, identify incentives, and be able to leverage systems thinking to effect organizational change. 
  • Manage multiple Scrum teams (~ 20 people organization), run performance management, and do basic resource planning. 
  • Drive architectural decisions for the teams.
