Role Summary
The Electrical Design Manager leads an electrical design team to create innovative hardware products for the automotive automated driving market. He/She has responsibility for people management of direct reports and project deliverables. He/She works with peers to continuously improve the electrical design processes and methods, increasing the quality of work products and team efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
The Electrical Design Manager provides technical leadership and project oversight to ensure all electrical design deliverables are released on time and in full compliance with the product development process and customer expectations. He/She develops the existing team's skills and recruits new talent, ensuring all projects are appropriately resourced. As part of a cross-functional leadership team, he/she engages in new platform planning, leads structured problem solving, and drives positive teamwork.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Prepare electrical design budgets and manage spending to budget.
- Oversee project quote responses, ensure alignment with global strategy.
- Drive electrical hardware architecture development in alignment with business product strategy.
- Hire, train, coach, conduct performance appraisals, reward and discipline a team of direct reports
Key Qualifications/Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering Electrical/Computer Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of demonstrated technical experience
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience in a supervisory role of a technical team
- Extensive use of risk management, problem solving, decision making, and project management skills
- Demonstrated experience with effective communication and leading teams
