The Role

In this role you will lead a dynamic team of engineers that provide foundational services for the rest of CommerceHub. You will be a key business partner driving the mission of improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of how people work by providing tools, services, and support. The team's responsibility areas are broad and diverse supporting software development, technical operations, business operations, and general productivity.

Specific Duties

• Supervising and leading a team of engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship
• Coordinating with other leaders across the company
• Setting the strategy and roadmap around productivity and development tools and services
• Promoting and facilitating a cloud-first mindset
• Executing on an end-user compute strategy covering devices, collaboration, security, connectivity, and processes
• Preparing and presenting proposals to senior leadership and other business stakeholders
• Assigning, directing, and evaluating technical work
• Defining and executing on project plans, ensuring execution and quality
• Managing a budget and approving expenditures
• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in a computer-related engineering field OR equivalent professional experience
• At least 3 years of people management and leadership experience
• Experience with SRE and/or DevOps concepts such as CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and metrics
• Experience with development and operations tools (e.g. GitLab, Artifactory, Graphite, SumoLogic, etc.)
• Experience with collaboration and productivity tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence)
• Experience with Cloud computing concepts and with AWS specifically
• Experience with end-user computing concepts and technologies
• Understanding the fundamentals of IT including network, storage, and compute
• You have the ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technologies
