Job Summary
We are seeking a technical hands on wireless devices certification manager to lead and manage a small team of iOS Wireless certification engineers. The certification manager should be able to define and execute test plans along with managing day to day operations of the certification lab and team. This is a technical hands on position including daily interaction with vendors and internal teams. Candidate should have be familiar with and have a passion for Apple wireless products.
Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage end to end product life cycle for Apple device portfolio for Comcast Xfinity Mobile
  • Create certification test plans for Apple products based on network and device requirements.
  • Execute and manage end to end testing for Apple devices in production network or controlled lab environment.
  • Conduct and manage field trial testing of new and existing device features
  • Manage day to day operations of secure lab facilities and test equipment
  • Manage, mentor and guide a small team of wireless test engineers
  • Test and certify Apple product features from concept to launch working with internal and external teams.
  • Support and triage any internal or external escalations as needed.
  • Act as an internal SME for Apple product features and capabilities.
  • Lead the certification of new Apple products both pre and post launch
  • Create and plan device configuration settings to be integrated into software releases for Apple products.
  • Support Apple account relationship and operations on a day to day basis.



Additional Job Description

  • 5+ yrs experience in mobile product development for smartphones and tablets or any other QA management experience
  • 5+ yrs experience managing and executing mobile device certification for wireless operators or device OEMs
  • 5+ yrs experience managing a team of QA engineers.
  • Experience working with Apple products and services.
  • Working knowledge of device and network interactions.
  • Good understanding of Agile software processes and tools
  • Experience with wireless logging tools like QXDM, QCAT, SST, etc
  • Good understanding of wireless standards and protocols.
  • Experience creating requirements and test plans for network and device features and services.
  • Experience handling escalations, triaging and resolving customer issues.
  • Familiar with running SQL queries and modifying and executing API scripts.
  • Experience working with LTE and 5G technologies.
  • Familiar with wireless lab equipment and simulators like Spirent, Keysight, etc.
