Job Description

Provide technical leadership and guide the Production Control activities of the team: Conduct E2E review of our weekly critical path for delivery across all of our technology stacks. Facilitate and prioritize client and platform specific requests from our Operation Delivery Leads and Client Partners. Consult with our PTO (Product/Tech/Ops) team to prioritize and deliver on critical offerings, enhancements and deliveries. Enhance and maintain a comprehensive validation framework to ensure high quality output of data. Collaborate with Tech and Support teams to optimize user experience. Optimize queries and cache building so that user requests on the platform run efficiently. Identify opportunities changes that can be run more efficiently or modify processes. Implement ongoing processes to clean out stale data and ensure data tables are built most efficiently. Query the system as needed to help with client inquiries and data challenges. Ideate further efficiencies of our processes and delivery framework. Review process flow and necessary jobs that are executed. Identify all manual steps taken and determine how to automate. Involves International travel to India 7-14 days per year for vendor management and in-house operation management. Involves the opportunity to telecommute from within the Chicago, IL area for up to 2 days per week, as feasible. Tools: Snowflake, .txt,.CSV, XML’s. datastage, core java, Microsoft Azure platform, blob, airflow, unix, Python.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, statistics or related field with a strong IT focus such as electrical and electronics engineering quantitative or technical field (foreign equivalent degree acceptable) plus five (5) years of experience in operational delivery of data (would also accept a master’s degree plus 3 years of experience). This must include: 5 years of experience in: Coding Unix, shell scripting, code deployment and management; querying skills using SQL, and PL/SQL. OLTP, OLAP databases such as Snowflake, and Netezza; object oriented programming; data warehousing tools such as: datastage, Informatica, ODI, SAS, and Ab Initio; Dimensional models, slowly changing dimensions (SCD), STAR Schema and Snowflake schema data models; Core Java; Microsoft Azure platform, Blob, Airflow; Cloud native, and data warehousing CPG Industry. 3 years of experience in R, Python and utilizing all File formats including .txt,.CSV, and XML’s. and 2 years of experience in: working in a fast paced environment, drive resolution with urgency; written and verbal communication skills and ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills.
