Description

SAIC is looking for a LINUX/Windows System Administrator for a position located in Pensacola, FL. This position requires the ability to assist with the architectural, engineering, administration of Linux/Windows infrastructure, as well as participate in the change process and incident response processes.

• Active Directory integration of Linux servers / desktops
• System provisioning using kickstart (Cobbler / Foreman / Satellite)
• Performing SQL and IIS administration
• Zero client management using Teradici
• Performing server backup / restore using Symantec / Veritas Backup Exec or equivalent
• Implementing DISA STIGs and completing STIG checklists
• Analyzing ACAS / Nessus vulnerability scans and performing system patching using yum / dnf

Qualifications

Education and experience:

• Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Clearance required:

• Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Required skills:

• 2+ years Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux / CentOS versions 6 / 7 / 8) and Microsoft Windows Server 2012 / 2016 / 2019
• Understanding networking fundamentals to include Brocade / Ruckus / Cisco switches & routers and Taclanes.
• Strong troubleshooting knowledge / techniques for advanced system issues inside a complex environment.
• Excellent communication skills required.

Certifications Required:

• CompTIA Security+ ce required at time of hire
• CompTIA Linux+ (or Red Hat Certified System Administrator) required within 90 days of hire

Desired:

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) desired
