Encantado Technical Solutions (ETS) is an unpopulated Small Business Administration-approved mentor-protege joint venture between Edgewater Federal Solutions, Inc. and ECS Federal, LLC. ETS is bolstered by second-tier subcontractors Information International Associates (IIA) and Amentum. ETS provides comprehensive enterprise and mission-embedded IT support for the $400 - $700 million Third-Party Telecommunications and Information Technology Support Services contract at Sandia National Laboratories. ETS is currently recruiting for a variety of cleared and uncleared IT positions with on-site and remote opportunities in New Mexico and California.
ETS is looking for a Linux System Administrato r to work in our office in Albuquerque, NM.
The Unmanned System & Autonomy R&D team is part of the Robotics Manufacturing Science and Engineering Laboratory, which include High Consequence Automation, Unique Robotic Mobility/Manipulation, Wearable Robotics for Human Assistive Devices, Advanced Control Systems, Custom Mechatronics, Cybernetics, and Simulation-Based Training, Response, and Operations.
Tasks:

  • Perform Linux System Administration
  • Configure and perform system setup
  • Add and delete users
  • Add, delete and modify network configuration
  • Add and remove data storage, snapshots and replication
  • Maintain and update user's tickets
  • Interact with end users and IT professionals
  • Perform virtual/cloud deployments
  • Create and modify scripts for automating administration tasks
  • Perform server room configurations - power, cooling, cabling and racking
  • COTS and custom application installation and maintenance activities

Required Skills:

  • US Citizen and must have an active DOE L/Q Clearance to start or DoD Secret/Top Secret with reciprocity.
  • BS/BA or related field and two (2) years related experience
  • Linux system administration experience for at least 2 years
  • System Administration skills for Linux Server and Desktop Systems
  • End-User Application Support
  • System Setup
  • Account Management
  • File services
  • Network Configuration
  • Application Hosting
  • Experience with Data Storage Systems (such as NetApp) and associated technologies: SAN, NAS, RAID, LUNs, Snapshots, Replication, etc,
  • Familiarity with Firewall technology & management of private LANs/networks
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with other IT professionals
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment

Desired Skills:

  • Windows system administration experience for at least 2 years
  • Prior working experience with Sandia infrastructure
  • Experience with quality assurance testing
  • Experience in Virtual/Cloud Deployments
  • Developing scripts for automating services tasks
  • Server room management (e.g. - power, cooling, cabling, racking)
