We're looking for a systems administrator We're looking for a systems administrator with an excellent technical background in system administration with Linux knowledge to help us support our high value client in the government and law enforcement sector.
As a systems administrator on our project, you'll be supporting the engineering team and providing hands on support to the administration of the tools and environment for the Enterprise Operation Center for one of the premier agencies in the government. You'll help customers overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. Your experience and communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning. This is an opportunity to gain experience in areas like enterprise environment migration. We focus on growing as a team, so we'll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. You Have:
- 2+ years of experience in working with IT systems administration
- Experience managing Satellite Patching Servers
- Experience maintaining high system availability and secure system posture
- Experience with patching and system maintenance
- Experience with designing, deploying, managing, and configuring server solutions using Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.x and newer
- Top Secret Clearance
- HS Diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with developing and managing scripted solutions
- Experience with the management and operational use of systems monitoring tools, including SolarWinds, Splunk, or Microsoft SCOM
- Knowledge of RHEL SysAdmin II, Ansible, or VSphere VCenter
- Knowledge of ITIL change management and problem management best practices
- Ability to analyze and enhance operational procedures
- Ability to develop new solutions to address current and emerging IT challenges
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) Certification
- PMP or ITILv3 Certification
- DoD 8570 Certification Compliance
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
