The Challenge:

We're looking for a systems administrator who specializes in Linux with a solid background in Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration to help us develop new capabilities in Department of Defense environments.
As a systems administrator on our project, you'll ensure the current infrastructure is functional and available and constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies. You'll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. You'll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like network and cybersecurity engineering. We focus on growing as a team, so you'll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team work through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a technical leader, you'll identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help your customers meet their needs. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

You Have:
- Experience with Linux administration, including within DoD environments with STIG requirements
- Experience with setup, maintenance, and hardening of Red Hat Enterprise Linux V7 and V8
- Knowledge of Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes administration and security
- Top Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Certification within 6 months of start date

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
