LINUX ADMINISTRATOR - REMOTE

The Select group is currently seeking a Linux Administrator to join one of their top healthcare clients. While this role sits 100% remote, candidates must be located in the Atlanta, Georgia metropolitan area. LINUX ADMINISTRATOR REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5 years of Red Hat Linux Admin experience in an enterprise-level shop
• VMware administration experience - installing from bare metal - patching, setting up cluster, setting up networking, provisioning, installation, upgrading permissions, etc.
• Knowledge and understanding of Storage Attached Network (SAN) technologies.

LINUX ADMINISTRATOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Linux physical and virtual server management
• Linux administration (upgrades, patching, and security compliance requirements)
• Linux troubleshooting (setup, account management, file service, network configuration, license management, application hosting, and end-user application support)
• Works with Senior Staff to identify software usage, trends, etc., and reports to management
• Troubleshoots moderate level support problems and provides or obtains their timely resolution
• Escalates complex problems to more senior department members
• Provides and maintains technical documentation, policies, and procedures related to software licensing and updates as necessary
