Job Summary

The Lead Systems Engineer - Hyperion and Oracle EPM Administration is responsible for administering the Hyperion and Oracle EPM systems used for financial consolidations, planning and analytics, and master data. Key responsibilities include managing incidents, managing changes, installation and support of the Smartview Excel add-in, integration of data into and out of the systems, orchestrating and monitoring automated jobs, and performance tuning of the system landscapes.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage incident, problem, service request, and change tickets related to system administration and data integration using Service Now
  • Promote/Deploy changes from non-PROD systems (DEV, QA) to PROD systems
  • Create deployment packages to automate the installation of the Smartview Excel add-in to user PCs and provide support when there are installation issues
  • Design, configure, and support how data is integrated into and out of the systems
  • Identify opportunities to automate system administration and data integration tasks through the creation of jobs and continuously improve jobs and job schedules to optimize system performance and stability
  • Support month-end close process and monthly master data refresh process
  • Collaborates across functional, company, and geographical boundaries and influences and negotiates to provide effective support and deliver results
  • Applies principles, concepts and practices of the IT Service Management (ITSM), Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC), and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Proactively enforces worldwide and local security policies to ensure IT information assets are protected

Expected Areas of Competence

  • Able to integrate data into and out of Hyperion 11.1.2.x and Oracle EPM Cloud systems using scripting and job scheduling technologies for automation purposes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with ITSM processes and systems
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a geographically distributed and organizationally diverse team and customer environment
  • Strong analytical / problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills; appropriately shares viewpoint and encourages the free exchange of information and opinions

  • Knowledge of PMLC and SDLC concepts

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, or related field with 6+ years of related experience; OR Bachelor and Master's degree and 5+ years of related experience
  • 4+ years of experience working with Hyperion 11.1.2.x and/or Oracle EPM Cloud including the master data management applications and the installation and use of Smartview
  • 3+ years of experience as a System Administrator for Hyperion and/or Oracle EPM Cloud
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing formal ITSM and SDLC processes and tools to manage service requests, incidents, problems, and changes
  • Technical Hyperion or Oracle EPM Cloud certifications preferred
