Software Development Manager
Summary
Do you have a passion for developing highly scalable, highly available software that provides key game features to millions of users? Are you eager to work in the fast growing, dynamic, and challenging mobile and social games space?
Aristocrat Digital Game Services is looking for a hands on Development Manager to join our team. We are creating Aristocrat's next generation game development kit (NG-GDK). The NG-GDK will encompass software libraries, tools, plugins and process that enable amazing and engaging games. We are using the latest game engine and cloud enabled technologies to enable studios around the world to deliver casual and free to play games to a broad range of platforms.
The next generation team is new, small and focused which means a big opportunity to influence the way games are designed and developed to take Pixel United to the next level.
What You'll Do

  • Oversee the technical work of a team of software developers working on a project, ensuring work meets the technical requirements.
  • Lead the team in design, coding, testing, researching & analyzing
  • Work closely with remote and local software development and QA to refine designs and contribute to the development of the product
  • Hands on development, writing software and assisting their team to meet deadlines and improve the quality of the codebase.
  • Promote good development principles, such as test driven development
  • Managing and Reviewing performance of your team.
  • Mentor software developers on the development team, through processes such as pair programming and code reviews
  • Serve as an interface between the programmers and management, have ownership of their team's development plans and have supervisorial responsibilities in delegating work.
  • Work with Production to ensure that their sections of the product come in on time and under budget
  • Serve as technical adviser to management and provide programming perspective on requirements.


What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years experience
  • Experience with Leading and Managing teams
  • Expert at C#, ASP.NET, .Net Core
  • Expert at HTTPS, RESTful APIs
  • Expert at AWS, Azure, Cloud experience
  • Expert at Client/Server Architecture
  • Expert at Server Debugging and performance
  • Experience using OAuth, JWT, Security
  • Experience using Logging and Graphing, Kibana, DataDog
  • Experience using Kubernetes, Docker, Container
  • Experience using JIRA, Confluence, Git
  • Experience using Storage technologies like MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, S3, etc.
  • Experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies to iterate quickly on product changes
  • Passion for Documentation
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related engineering discipline
  • Experience in DevOps
  • Experience in data science frameworks and tools
  • Experience in social casino game development
  • Experience using Unity
