MS Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology is the global technology department responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) business. The department is comprised of 10 organizations: Sales, Banking & Corporate-Client Technology, Investment Products & Markets Technology, Client Reporting, Core Processing, Private and International Wealth Management Technology, Technology Integration Office, Enterprise Infrastructure & Production Management, Capital Markets Application & Data Services, Deployment Planning & Release Management, and the Chief Operating Office.

We are looking for VP to join our Sales and Service Technology team. As a Senior officer member, you will play a critical role in design and implementation of applications integrating with Salesforce.com and other ETL platforms. This role requires strong software engineering, design, development, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

Qualification

Requires 12 + years of experience with: application design, multi-tiered and web-based software development, maintenance, and delivery; web application servers; coding, debugging, and algorithm design; Web architecture, design, and development tools including Eclipse, Tomcat, Unix, Shell Scripting, PERL, Apache Spring Framework, Java, and J2EE; SQL, JDBC, Java Servlets, REST, SOAP, XML/XSLT, HTML, Spring, ANT, Maven, and SOA; multi-threading programming; UNIX, Linux and Windows.
• Experience handling data migrations.
• Experience in agile development methodology/scrum
• Experience on any of the CRM platform/Salesforce is a plus.
• Experience on ETL tools - IBM data stage experience is a plu
• Proficient on optimizing and writing SQL queries against a relational database.
• Experience on Java message broker system
• Experience building web service integrations, In-depth knowledge and understanding of REST, SOAP.

Responsibilitie
• Create design specifications, implementation of services, code reviews, unit and functional testing, support, and ongoing improvements of existing engineering system
• Work closely with Business Analysts to review and analyze design requirement
• Work closely with software architects to build products efficiently by bringing changes and innovations to our engineering system
• Mentor junior software engineers/ Offshore counterparts, help instill appropriate design patterns, code quality, and testing standard
• Perform object-oriented Design, Analysis (OOA and OOD) and Software modeling
• Support and troubleshoot software systems to maintain effectiveness of applications.
