Software engineering is the application of engineering to the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of software in a systematic method. The roles in this function will cover all primary development activity across all technology functions that ensure we deliver code with high quality for our applications, products and services and to understand customer needs and to develop product roadmaps.
These roles include, but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations and delivery. With every role in the company, each position has a requirement for building quality into every output. This also includes evaluating new tools, new techniques, strategies; Automation of common tasks; build of common utilities to drive organizational efficiency with a passion around technology and solutions and influence of thought and leadership on future capabilities and opportunities to apply technology in new and innovative ways.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Extensive experience with web applications, REST/SOAP webservices & web service integration
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills in a complex, distributed environment
  • Experience with Automated Unit Testing and Integration Testing
  • Experience with application architecture & design experience
  • Experience using cloud technologies like Docker, Cloud infrastructure, API Gateway, Jenkins Pipeline etc.
  • CI/CD experience, including development of Jenkins pipelines and scripts and Maven configuration
  • Ability to communicate with senior level internal and external stakeholder representatives in a rational and measured manner to communicate project progress, issues, risks and solutions
  • Lead team (dotted line) of 3-4 software engineers
  • Exposure to Agile delivery

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in full Software Development Life Cycle
  • 4+ years of experience in Java
  • 2+ years of Web Service / API development in REST, SOAP and a background in SOA implementation
  • Additional required Technical experience with the Spring Framework, OpenShift, MYSQL


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong preference for experience with the following technologies: J2EE, REST, Kafka, MySQL, JPA,
  • Health care industry experience
  • Experience in leading technical team
  • Experience with mission critical, 24×7 systems working in an agile environment
  • Experience implementing and consuming large scale web services
  • Health care industry experience
  • Hibernate, Docker, Kubernetes, Github, Jenkins, Maven, Jenkins, XL Deploy, DevOps, JBOSS Application Server, UNIX, API Engine Framework

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900.
