Primary Responsibilities:

• Develops or contributes meaningfully to shared components across products
• Designs solutions to meet business needs
• Crafts necessary team architectural patterns and selects tooling
• Creates design documents and defends architectural decisions with other lead engineers to gain alignment
• Solves difficult or complex business and technical problems
• Drives best practices and agreed upon design patterns into the solution wherever possible
• Adds performance and resiliency testing to standard functional use cases
• Re-examines existing processes and deprecates or emphasizes where appropriate
• Sets and holds team accountable to stability and resiliency metrics
• Owns construction and preparation of outage retrospective documentation while ensuring action items are prioritized and delivered
• Actively develops threat prevention mechanisms and drives security best practice adherence in code reviews

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• 12+ years of experience in building highly scalable internet facing applications
• 4+ years of practitioner experience on Agile/DevOps
• Experience utilizing hands-on engineering skills with the ability to debug products
• Experience engineering products/platforms of the cloud (moving apps to cloud or building cloud native application) (prefer cloud native)
• Solid experience utilizing Full stack development skills - J2EE, RDBMS/NoSQL, JavaScript (React or Angular)
• Solid knowledge and understanding of production monitoring of apps/platforms including tools like Splunk/Dynatrace
• Solid knowledge and understanding of end-to-end web application deployment in a data center - Multi-DC deployment and Traffic Management (GTM vs. LTM) API Gateway (including security management), Core vs DMZ deployment patterns
• Solid experience utilizing collaboration and inter-personal skills with the ability to clearly communicate and work with stakeholders up the hierarchy, within the team and across the team
• Solid experience utilizing Cloud platforms like Azure or aws (Azure preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in US healthcare or retail domain
• Experience in member/customer facing platforms like customer websites, Call Center platforms
• Experience in Data Science concepts and application of the same in building products
• Experience in search (Elastic Search) and Streaming architecture using Kafka
