About the job

We are looking for a talented engineer to join the web engineering team.  This individual will lead the charge defining and implementing best in class marketing technology platforms.  This role’s primary focus is on web content management platforms that support globalization, localization, and personalization at scale.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead the team in platform architecture and design decisions. Coordinate and contribute to the roll out of a new global, multi-site, multi-language web content management platform.

  • Ensure software developed adheres to best practices and quality standards through code and design reviews

  • Work with client-side engineers to inform the build and extension of components for the development of headless and/or hybrid apps

  • Design efficient content models, security models, workflows and templates.

  • Develop pages templates and components leveraging current version platform capabilities.

  • Cultivate platform expertise across junior developers and users.

Required:

  • Proven ability to lead in a distributed team environment and influence technical decisions at all levels, from developers to senior management

  • 3+ years of experience in solution design and architecture of large, complex web sites and/or web applications (web content managements), systems such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Optimizely, or WagTail

  • Experience with project automation technology: Jenkins, BuildKite, automated unit testing, Maven, Ant

  • Experience implementing personalization using tools such as Adobe Target or Optimizely.

  • Demonstrable understanding of Front-end web application design, experience some of the following Adv JS, CSS Based frameworks, Strong JEE experience, Maven, Apache sling framework, OSGI, Node & NPM, REST based services, .NET

Desired:

  • AEM or Optimizely certifications beneficial

  • Degree with 9+ years of experience building, deploying, and scaling enterprise CMS

Location 

This role will be remote, and based in the USA.  Approximately 5% travel is anticipated.

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $127,960 - $201,080

  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.


The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
