Job Description As Lead Software Engineer Full Stack Java, React you will design and develop critical APIs, Micro Services, and Web Applications for internal consumption for Customer Interaction Insights & Intelligence (CI3) group that produces behavioral data for analysis with the ultimate aim of improving Customer experience. As an experienced Full Stack Engineer, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. You have technical expertise in web, application, and software development and can visualize the big-picture. You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical solutions on public and private cloud. Full development life cycle of analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Participate in code reviews, define coding principles, standards, code quality standards, implement frameworks, performance optimization and reliability.
  • Mentor and nurture junior developers. Empower and develop other tech leaders.
  • Collaborate and innovate solutions across product, platform, architecture and other Software and Data engineering teams.
  • Demonstrate software engineering leadership through thoughtful design.
  • "Build and own" troubleshoot production stability issues. Promote a culture of delivering high quality and reliable code by testing early and leveraging blue green deployments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills expressing technical software architectures and designs
  • Realize the product's objectives and key results, and other metrics defined on the Product roadmap


Strengths and capabilities:

  • Strong experience in Core Java, spring frameworks, RESTAPI, cloud, micro services, Hibernate, MVC is required.
  • Experience with REACT is required
  • Experience with SQL DBs like mySQL is required.
  • Experience with Containers (EKS/ECS/Docker/Kubernetes) preferred
  • Experience with asynchronous messaging/streaming platforms, like Kafka, Kinesis preferred
  • Experience with AWS or AWS Certification preferred
  • Experience with modern SDLC, DevOps mentality and TDD approaches. Hands-on experience in automating builds, deploys, monitoring and alerting.
  • Experience or familiarity with Splunk, Dynatrace, DataDog, Cloudwatch.
  • Experience with the following development and build tools (or similar): IntelliJ/Eclipse, Maven, BitBucket/Git/Gitflow, JMeter/ Blazemeter, API Gateway.


Requirements:

  • BS degree Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math or equivalent
  • 6+ years of work experience in software engineering
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices.
  • Ability to work in collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Passionate about building a culture of innovation, mutual respect and collaboration
