As part of our Data Platform engineering team, the Site Reliability Engineer plays a significant role in ensuring that the performance and stability of our software meet the needs of our business. This engineer will be hands on, gathering metrics, performing analysis, and developing application code, configurations, and process automation for cloud-based systems using a variety of tools and languages. This engineer will also be responsible for documenting processes and mentoring other engineers.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* Ideal candidates can work East Coast or Central time zone to attend early morning meetings. (*8-5 Minnesota hours are standard)

Required Qualifications:

  • Education - BA/BS degree (*or 10+ years of related corporate IT work experience)
  • 8+ years of modern software engineering (development) experience at the enterprise level
  • 4+ years of writing and debugging code in at least one of the following languages:
    • Java
    • Golang
    • Python
    • ReactJS
    • JavaScript
  • 2+ years working hands-on with Docker and/or Kubernetes
  • 1+ years of experience running applications on a public cloud
  • 1+ years of gathering performance and stability metrics and using those metrics as a baseline for performance and stability tuning
  • 1+ years of hands on experience developing CICD pipelines for application build and deployment


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience working with Google Kubernetes Engine
  • Experience working with GitHub Actions for creating application pipelines
  • Experience working with Prometheus and Grafana
  • Experience working with Splunk
  • Experience working with Datahub
  • Experience working with MySQL
  • Experience working with Elastic Search
  • Experience with capacity planning
  • Experience designing systems for fault tolerance, high availability, and disaster recovery
  • Experience writing and debugging code in the following languages: Java, Golang, Python, ReactJS, and JavaScript
  • Experience mentoring, leading, and delegating work to junior engineers

Connecticut Residents Only: The salary range for Connecticut residents is $101,200 to $184,000.
