Lead Security Engineer (SE)

We are seeking a Lead Security Engineer (SE) in Washington, DC for our client,
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). This role is projected for a five month duration with the possibility of an extension.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with our government client on engineering tasks.• Will lead a team (1 or more) Security Integration Engineers.• Write Weekly Activity Reports, Daily Engineering Status Reports, and other ad-hoc deliverables as required.• Promote knowledge sharing/training across functional areas.• Evaluate, develop, and refine processes & procedures (e.g., SOPs) as required or requested by Gov't mgmt.• Provide recommendations to improve or replace existing technologies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Responsibilities:
Significant experience installing, configuring, and maintaining numerous security tools and technologies to include the following (and/or comparable) security technologies:
- SIEM - Splunk Enterprise Security (ES)
- McAfee Network Security Manager (NSM) Intrusion Detection/Protection System (IDS/IPS) and associated sensors.
- Imperva Web Application Firewall (WAF)
- Symantec EndPoint Protection (SEP)
- Symantec Data Loss Protection (DLP)
- FireEye AX, HX and NX
- CDM Phase II (CyberArk, SailPoint, and Splunk)
- ForeScout
- StealthBits Audit, Defender, File Activity Monitor, and Intercept
- SolarWinds
- Absolute Computrace
- Qualys
Minimum Requirements -
- 10+ years of experience as a Hands-On Lead for Security Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
- As needed (not often), provide after hours and weekend support.
- Core Hours: M - F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm ET, plus after hours - as needed, to implement patches, updates and troubleshoot emergencies if/when they occur.
Education - Bachelor of Science (Masters preferred) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related area.
Certifications - CISSP (preferred - must earn within 6 months of start date).

- ITIL (preferred).
- MCSE (preferred).
