Job Description Lead Python Software Engineer for Client Facing Analytics Platform
Though J.P. Morgan is well known global leader across banking, markets and investor services we have technology at the heart of what we do. We are looking for individuals that are curios, intelligent, driven engineers.
You are a talented hands-on team lead who wants to share their time between leading a new team and writing code. We use Python on our backend tech stack, but even if that isn't your domain of expertise at the moment, we would still like to hear from you if you have strength in either writing OO code in Java / C++. You'll be working on our greenfield project delivering a client facing analytics platform. Specifically, you will be involved in enhancing our platform to build out the microservices stack to support the platform. You will also work on the generation of analytics and will have an opportunity to learn about financial analytics around Risk and Attribution.
You'll work closely with colleagues on the team, other development teams, operational staff and technology management with opportunities to demonstrate technical leadership.
You love nothing better than writing well-tested code that creates stable resilient services. You will be leading a team who will own the development of the underlying platform as well as feature enhancements.

Key responsibilities

• Work with business sponsors to understand new work enhancements
• Agree the schedule of delivery of the work with stakeholders and manage the demand from inception to production delivery.
• Perform the technical delivery(front to back) - develop the changes requested and provide tested code.
• As part of the wider team perform code reviews and ensure that we maintain the level of quality we are after as well as mentor more junior team members.
