The Lead Project Engineer is responsible for collaborating with the Engineering Leadership Team, all Engineering & Technology (E&T) organizations, Integrated Supply Chain Global Strategy & Integration, Global Real Estate and other functions to evaluate the feasibility of, build estimates, and execute projects for E&T effort associated with repositioning, transition and licensing projects.

The position will require close coordination with Integrated Supply Chain, Engineering, and all other functions for production of data-based estimates at the appropriate level of detail, close coordination across all stakeholders, appropriate communication to leadership, proactive risk management, process adherence, and achievement of schedule targets for estimates and strategic plans.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Lead E&T teams responsible for evaluation of feasibility and estimation of site transition activities affecting Aerospace Engineering footprint, GS&I-led repositioning projects and Licensing projects. Lead team in execution of projects through all Standard Transition Process (STP) phases
• Lead the efforts associated with Engineering repositioning knowledge capture and management to ensure a disciplined and data-driven approach is utilized for assumptions and basis of estimate on all transition activities. Lead the creation of a project knowledge base in alignment with the Engineering Standard Transition Process.
• Partner with Engineering and ISC leaders in developing a leaner and faster transition process driving core strategic initiatives in support of creating a better approach to manage and execute transitions and growth projects
• Lead and work with the engineering organization to drive establishment of a more robust process to streamline the development of all substantiation plans for sourcing transitions / repositions and execute these projects
• Use your strategic thinking to help anticipate problems, recognize, and eliminate barriers

YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science
• Have 5 years of Project / Program Management and Engineering experience
