The Application Delivery team is an infrastructure engineering squad within the Compute & Storage Engineering organization, with responsibilities for evaluating, certifying, configuring and maintaining centralized DNS, DHCP and load-balancer services at Morgan Stanley - critical infrastructure, relied upon firmwide.
The team is responsible for the core engineering, certification and integration of these services into a number of configuration management & monitoring systems, with a strong emphasis on continuously increasing levels of automation in our infrastructure stack.
We are seeking a skilled lead infrastructure engineer with a strong technical grounding in network and/or linux systems administration to act as a local lead for a small new team in Atlanta, and subject matter expert for our DNS & DHCP plant. The role would involve contributing to a number of important initiatives including our global DNS & DHCP plant renovation and ongoing load-balancer tooling & automation work, predominantly based around Infoblox & F5 technology respectively.
The ideal candidate has enterprise-scale infrastructure engineering experience, a passion for automation, and the ability to collaborate with other engineers across global organisations to deliver on complex projects.

Qualifications:
Skills & Experience Required
- A thorough understanding of DNS, DHCP, IPAM, HTTP & TCP principle
- Successful track record of leading successful, complex infrastructure project
- Proven experience with large-scale architecture design and development
Skills & Experience Desired
- Experience working in an agile squad (using scrum, kanban or similar methodology)
- Good Python, Perl or similar scripting/programming skill
- Experience of Ansible(preferred) or similar automation tools (Salt, Puppet, Chef)
- Knowledge of network protocols (BGP, Anycast, VRRP)
- Experience working with Infoblox and F5 products (in particular LTM & GTM)
- Kubernetes experience (especially OpenShift)
- Good understanding of Linux system fundamentals.
- Effective troubleshooting skills and practical experience with system programming (network/socket, IPC, threads).
