Job Description Full Stack T-Shaped Software Engineer Lead
We are currently seeking a Full Stack T-Shaped Web Software Engineer Lead - Java or .Net with JS/SQL expertise to drive programs on our expanding team. Selected individual will be an integral in driving firm-wide initiative forward - modernizing technology delivery through "T-shaped" (multi-skilled) workforce, bringing cloud-minded design, Agile practices, tool standardization and automated delivery to our Enterprise Technology organization.
Selected individual will be responsible to work closely with our internal Global Security clients, Fraud and Investigation clients, Technology Partners and external vendors to identify, assess, and help document functional requirements, work with appropriate parties to understand business priorities, and advise business on options, risks, and costs associated with the Command Center Program.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience, plus five-seven (5-7) years of T-shaped developer experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
  • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems.
  • Working proficiency in developmental toolsets.
  • Knowledge of industry wide technology strategies and best practices.
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture.
  • Strong foundation in Object Oriented Programming and Design Principles (OOP / OOD/ SOLID).
  • Experience designing and building data-driven applications applying clean code and architecture principles.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of DevOps, Agile methodologies and software products lifecycle.
  • Understanding of secure coding practices.
  • Self-starter, ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and ability to own their work end-to-end while demonstrating a "can-do" attitude.
  • Willing and able to learn the business and fully understand how and why tasks satisfy business needs.


Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrate strong technical understanding and experience working on AWS and Cloud Foundry cloud technologies or equivalent, AWS Certification a plus.
  • Demonstrate strong technical understanding of system architectures and a proven track record in software engineering of large scale J2EE or Microsoft .NET windows and web-based applications leveraging some of the following technologies: Java, Windows: various .Net web application and console application principles.
  • Strong technical understanding of Javascript web technologies (Angular), server side technologies like nodeJS/React (nice to have) and general API services (provider and consumer).
  • Demonstrate strong command in one or more relational database platform (MSSQL, Oracle, etc.) tools and reporting scripting like Python.
  • Exposure to non-relational database platforms (CassandraDB is a nice to have).
  • Experience with Methodologies like Agile, TDD, ATDD, BDD, Paired Programming.
  • Experience with user reporting tools, Cognos, Tableau is a nice-to-have.
  • Experience with support and maintenance of application hosting environments like IIS, Windows Services, etc.
  • Exposure to software development CI/CD, unit test development, various code scanning tools and concepts - Jules, Code scan research and vulnerability remediation.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
