The Application Development Consultant in our Ground-up development team is responsible for performing billable client work, including but not limited to application development and maintenance, architecture design, and peer code review.

A successful candidate will have good attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, the ability to learn new technologies quickly, and the ability to work on their own as well as within a small team. Candidates should demonstrate willingness to go the extra mile for the team's success. They will be a leader, problem solver, creative thinker, and interested in learning their clients' business. This position is an excellent opportunity for a technology professional with a strong background in small to mid-market custom applications to grow into and eventually assume a leadership role in our Technology Consulting - Application Development and Integration practice.

This position will be asked to utilize knowledge of Microsoft .NET, C#, JavaScript, and other Microsoft stack languages and tools to design, develop, and integrate with our clients' new and existing systems, as well as provide application support and training. This position must also follow and enforce RSM's software development lifecycle (SDLC) policy. This position should be able to discuss highly technical topics with clients in an easy-to-understand way. In addition, this position will contribute to the growth of our practice by recognizing and responding to market opportunities and client needs.

Basic Qualifications:
• 2 or 4 year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field
• 5+ years of development experience
• 2-3 years of .NET Development using C#
• 2-3 years of JavaScript Development
• Visual Studio
• Understanding of web technologies
• HTML, CSS,ASP.NET, Single Page Applications
• T-SQL (Microsoft SQL Server)
• Ability to apply system design and development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated work ethic and ability to work effectively with people at various levels
• ASP.NET MVC
• JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS 1/2, Vue.Js, or React JS
• JavaScript tools such as npm, Webpack or Gulp
• Microsoft Azure
• Mobile Development Experience(Native or Hybrid)
• CSS Preprocessors such as SASS or LESS.
• Understanding of web service architectures, such as WebAPI
• Internet Information Services(IIS)
• System Integration
• Source Code Control (TeamFoundation Server, Azure DevOps, Git)
• Accounting ERP or Customer Relationship Management knowledge is a plus
