Your Role and Responsibilities

- Analyzes requirements for software programs or application enhancements
- Makes recommendations for programming specifications
- Writes or modifies code for software programs, components or applications
- Performs development testing and audits results
- Supports and maintains software programs, components or applications in a production environment
- Creates and maintains documentation
- Researches technical problems and recommends solutions
- Drives completion of story card as assigned, develop code to make necessary data warehouse changes successfully unit test changes, participation in defect remediation, and supporting code deployment
- Builds SCM scripts where appropriate. Works with the release and deploy analyst from each application on deployment dates for the Gregorian Project code, updates and tags story cards appropriately.

Candidate must live within 300 miles of Buffalo NY. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site (Monday thru Friday). POST COVID you are expected to travel up to 75% of the time to meet our client needs across the US.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

- 7+ years experience implementing and developing mainframe systems
- 7+ years experience working with most Mainframe technologies including: Cobol, CICS, NDM, ESP, DB2, JCL, WMQI, MVS, JES, VTAM, PL/SQL, Stored Procedure
- Experience with HTML, XML, JavaScript and Webservices
- Experience with application development and DevOps tools: Github, Endeavor, DBB, Jenkins, Test Automation, and Unit
- Technical Consulting and Technical Architecture experience in application development, testing, and deployment
- Strong Consultative Skills and successful industry solution and complex project implementation.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

- 10+ years experience implementing and developing mainframe systems
- 10+ years experience working with most Mainframe technologies including: Cobol, CICS, NDM, ESP, DB2, JCL, WMQI, MVS, JES, VTAM, PL/SQL, Stored Procedure
