Staff Full Stack Engineer
Air is a Creative Ops System for Marketers. Our product automates the mindless tasks that marketers do every day to manage content and unlocks creativity through image recognition, automated versioning, and approval workflows. We launched in March 2021 and have raised +$28M from world-class venture capital groups including Tiger Global, Headline Ventures, Lerer Hippeau, WndrCo, and Slack Ventures.
This role is for you if you have extensive experience in front-end technologies and shipping single-page web apps. You're used to collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers to prioritize and commit on product features. You're excited about mentoring and growing junior members of the team, and you're obsessed with building great products and teams.
The Role
- Strive for quality and efficiency in all phases of the development lifecycle both for yourself and others.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, QA, and Engineers to build solutions which drive the value of our product forward.
- Advocate and deliver on architectural advancements which unlock new opportunities for the engineering team and the overall product.
- Write tech specs and high level software design documents as relevant.
- Develop and maintain internal software tools, write low-level and high-level code, fix bugs and troubleshoot customer issues as reported.
- Have a clear focus on performance, quality, security and improving software efficiency by adopting and championing good software development practices.
- Mentor and support engineers with aim to level the team up as a whole
Requirements
- 10+ years experience working as software developer in a professional capacity.
- Previous experience as a full stack engineer.
- Advanced knowledge of front-end languages including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, React, NextJS.
- Working knowledge in back-end languages and technologies including NodeJS, Python, PHP, Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch, Message Queue Services, Databases.
- Understands the nuances of RESTful API design and values an API-first mindset.
- Involvement with scaling a product and knows the challenges that brings.
- Experience with eventing/messaging and web-sockets.
- Proven track record of evaluating and executing on deep architectural decisions.
- Demonstrated capacity to clearly communicate on complex technical challenges and be able to propose solutions.
