HOW YOU’LL HELP EVERYONE PET PARENT LIKE A PRO

As the Lead Engineer, Integrations of OneKinship team, you will partner with other engineering leaders across the organization to define, build and scale the integrations fabric of Kinship. While doing so, you will hire a small team of engineers (full-time and/or contractors) that introduces and builds various integrations capabilities such as API management platform, software bus technologies to support eventing/stream processing such as Kafka, SaaS based iPaaS solutions that helps integrate various enterprise as well as light-weight dumb pipes to connect smart, microservices endpoints. This role will partner very closely with our CDP (Customer Data Platform) team and help build various data pipes from source data to our CDP. You are a hands-on engineering leader who understands scale and strives to make your products continuously efficient through on-going optimization.You bring an integrations mindset and look for opportunities to create reusable frameworks. You are passionate about the integrations domain and aspire to build a career path with growth opportunities in this area.

 TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• 8+ years of experience in software development with at least 2+ years of experience managing teams with onshore and offshore engineers

• Proven experience in building scalable platforms

• Experience with Enterprise IPaaS platforms such as Snaplogic, Dell Boomi, Mulesoft, etc.

• Experience architecting and building integrations with REST, SOAP, API, JMS, DB, File and other protocols

• Experience building integrations with SaaS based cloud providers in HRIS, ERP, Payment platforms such as AWS, Salesforce, mParticle, NetSuite etc.

• Clear understanding of Integration design patterns and tradeoffs between smart endpoints/dumb pipes vs. Smart pipes and dumb endpoints and using them in complex architetures

• Hands on experience building an API management platform, API gateway using AWS, Google APIGEE, Kong etc.

• Experience with building developer facing API portal

• Good understanding of Customer Data Platform

• Good understanding of modern cloud friendly devops tools, terraform, Infrastructure as Code

• Experience with relational as well as noSQL database technologies at scale

• Deep understanding of end-to-end deployment architecture including experience with CDNs, networking, distributed systems that yields high availability, active-active topologies

• Experience with distributed caching technologies

• Comfortable with open source technologies and ability to configure/tweak them for scale

• Experience in building API Management Platform

• Hands-on experience on building high scale micro-services

• Hands on experience with AWS, GCP, Azure or comparable public cloud

• Deep understanding of architectural tradeoffs optimized for scale and throughput
