Job Description As an experienced member of our Software Engineering Group we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation & engineering practices. This role of a Lead Data Engineer, will be responsible for executing an important phase of building business intelligence and dashboard capabilities in MFO Modernization. This role requires a variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Deep experience in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
  • Knowledge of industry wide technology strategies and best practices in building reports, dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Create and recommend solution design options factoring in customer requirements, standards and current/new infrastructure environments.
  • Work in collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture.
  • Strong experience with resilience and performance testing environment set-up & management
  • Must be highly skilled at communicating across the organization ranging from development partners to senior management


You should bring strong communication and comprehension skills and experience working in an Agile environment with continuous integration and delivery. You should be able to apply your experience to identify the right path forward, execute the next steps and get work done as an individual, as a team member and with management support. You should be able to collaborate and work effectively in a team and across teams. A successful individual will be a problem solver and bring in best practices to the team.
Responsibilities:

  • Partner with AD teams, Product Owners and Business and help curate the requirements for reporting and dashboards.
  • Liaise with AD and vendor teams to build the road map for this phase. Take ownership of delivery.
  • Participate in product backlog prioritization, story mapping, and story splitting activities.
  • Assist and manage vendor teams for a successful delivery
  • Strong project management background
  • Prepare and lead sprint review meetings showcasing completed product backlog items to the product owner and subject matter experts.
  • Proactively look to develop and implement best practices across the entire project team, practicing continuous process improvement.
  • Collaborate face to face and virtually with the Product Owner, Operations and Technology partners


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree - preferably in Computer Science
  • Experience in building dashboard, reporting solutions using data visualization Tableau, QlikSense
  • Strong expertise in data modeling and building Logical Data Model (LDM), and Physical Data Model (PDM), Star/Snow Flake Schema to assist in fast reporting and BI dashboards.
  • Experience in ETL tools like MuleSoft.
  • Exposure to AWS and services like AWS Kinesis, Redshift, SQS, MSK will be a plus
  • Strong SQL/PL-SQL Skills (Oracle 12c and above Preferred)
  • Prior experience managing a vendor based team is preferred
  • Excellent presentation and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with global teams
  • Passionate about problem solving, learning new skills, sharing expertise and knowledge
  • Experience working in Agile teams, ability to focus and grasp business concepts explained during PBRs.


Desired Skills:

  • Experience working in a financial services environment.
  • Experience building Business Intelligence solutions using Tableau
