Job Description As an experienced Solutions Engineer Architect, your mission is to work with our team of innovators and technologists toward creating next-level payment processing platform which not only caters to JPMC current business needs but is built for future growth in fast evolving Fintech industry. You are responsible for providing end to end technical solutions, working with technical staff, and enabling our business and technology partners to succeed on the cloud. You will be responsible to define payment processing platform's architecture exhibiting simplified & reliable multi-service interaction with well-defined boundary of data handling & state management.
Your Responsibilities

  • Develop cloud-native interoperable back end applications with following characteristics:
    • High throughput
    • Low latency in sub second
    • Ability to deal with extremely high volume of data.
    • Clean code with no unnecessary complication or abstraction.
  • Champion software engineering best practices in all stages.
  • Work with engineering leadership to help create long term platform architecture.
  • Ideate, strategize and develop foundational services architecture and frameworks.
  • Passionate for continuous performance tuning.
  • Continuous pursuit of simplifying system interaction and data handling.
  • Be hands-on with code and design.
  • Champion software engineering best practices in all stages.


Your Background
You are a seasoned hands-on software architect and have:

  • BS/MS with 12+ years of industry experience
  • Experience designing multi-zone/multi-region, multi-tenant, continuous available services
  • Strong expertise in building distributed applications using the core Java spring framework.
  • Strong expertise in building RESTful micro services using spring boot application.
  • Strong expertise in RDBMS/Oracle.
  • Working knowledge of NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, message brokers like Kafka, and distributed cache systems like GemFire.
  • A clear understanding of application and data architecture disciplines.
  • Strong CS fundamentals, data structures & algorithms, networking, system thinking
  • Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices
  • Prior experience in Banking/FinTech sector is a plus.
  • Prior experience in cloud-based technology like AWS is a plus.
