We're on the lookout for a Lead Applications Engineer to join the Calibration Engineering team.

As the Lead Applications Engineer, you will:

  • Mentor colleagues on the development of powertrain systems requirements for both battery electric and fuel cell vehicle applications
  • Mentor colleagues on the development of design targets and performance metrics to incorporate in approvals, reviews, etc. as needed
  • Champion Jama strategy for the development, documentation and, administration of requirements including traceability, analysis, and change management
  • Adopt internal and external standards and comply with Systems engineering best practices
  • Operate within an agile process to successfully meet our milestones
  • Support development and implementation of process disciplines
  • Collaborate closely across departments (ADAS, fuel cell, controls, battery, themal, etc.) and with suppliers

You bring:

  • Bachelor of Science degree is required (MS degree is preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of experience in development, testing and/or systems requirement definitions for powertrain systems
  • In-depth knowledge of EV and/or hybrid vehicle components & architectures.
  • Extensive exposure to automotive development centered around safety and homologation regulations such as ISO 2626, FMVSS, GSR, UNECE, etc
  • Experience using project and requirements management tools such as JIRA and JAMA
  • Understanding of automotive best practices as it relates to environmental validation (temperature, humidity, mechanical shock, EMC, ingress protection)
  • Ability and willingness to travel to project sites and suppliers
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead a team and work well with a team
  • Willing to understand the detailed process of document creation and contribute hands-on when/if required

Candidates must have current U.S. work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada. This position is not eligible for CPT or OPT.
