CLA, one of the nation's largest public accounting and professional services firm is currently seeking a Lead Application Developer (Power Platform) to join our growing Enterprise Business Solutions team, this position can be located in any CLA location in the Eastern or Central time zone.

Position Summary:

The Lead Application Developer (Power Platform) will establish standards and practices for the use of the entire Microsoft Power Platform across the firm. The Lead Power Platform Developer will implement application lifecycle management using Azure DevOps and the Microsoft COE tools. The Lead Power Platform Developer will provide mentorship for junior developers. The Lead Power Platform Developer will be expected to work with the tools to create solutions for the business. Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define solution requirements and goals to be achieved. Work directly with Microsoft and other vendors on tool capabilities and roadmaps.

As a Lead Application Developer (Power Platform), you will:

  • Collaborate with development teams to create roadmaps of strategic initiatives for new solutions as well as enhancements to existing solutions.
  • Determine the best approach working within security, data management, and architecture standards across the firm.
  • Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications following development standards.
  • Continually enhancing standards in development processes and tools to provide a consistent Software Development Life Cycle, migrating to an agile DevOps product deployment mindset.
  • Work closely with Release Managers, Quality Assurance, and testing resources to deliver high quality solutions on the agreed upon release cycle.
  • Assist team members with technical issues and options for resolution.
  • Escalate vendor issues using preferred communication methods working towards timely resolution.
  • Generate runbooks and training materials need to on-board new and enhanced applications with the service desk and support teams to provide a smooth support process for the business.
  • Active management and customization of the Power Platform COE solution implementation.
  • Monitors responsible applications for run time as well as other operational improvements.
  • Point person for any outages or issues related to Power Platform solutions created and managed by the team.
  • Assist team members with support issues.



As our ideal candidate, you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field required.
  • 10+ years' of application development and support working as a lead on multiple projects or applications.
  • Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standard.
  • Deep expertise and hands on experience with web applications, frameworks, and programming languages such as React, node.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, SASS, API's and Angular 2+.
  • Experience building MicroServices.
  • Experience working on containers (Docker).
  • Deep knowledge of Front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap, React, and AngularJS.
  • Experience developing within the .Net framework (ASP.Net, C#, WCF Web services, MVC).
  • Experience working with Azure environment, DevOps, SharePoint Online, Office 365.
  • Experience using a Database such as Postgres, SQL Server, mySQL or mongoDb.
