What We're Looking For
We are looking fora passionate,highly talented, self-driven,andproven Staff Android engineerto join our team!
As an engineer on Global Pay Later team, you will be primarily responsible for leading the feature development on GPL module as part of PayPal Consumer app. You should be comfortable working with cross functional teams to deliver project. You should excel at planning, developing and testing your code as well supporting members of the team with code reviews and technical guidance.

  • 7+ years experience in Android Development with strong Kotlin skills
  • Experience developing, maintaining and innovating large scale, consumer-facing mobile applications
  • Expert understanding of the Android System APIs and Android App lifecycle
  • Knowledge of open-source and commercial libraries commonly used in Android ecosystem
  • Deep understanding and knowledge around consuming REST APIs from Android applications
  • Intimate knowledge of common design patterns, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
  • Strong understanding of testing best practices and familiarity with at least one testing framework for Android
  • Strong record of collaboration with multiple teams and platforms to deliver and support major projects and features
  • Ability to understand and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience mentoring and developing software engineers
  • Stay current with the newest mobile technologies; research new technologies and make recommendations on implementations
  • Work with engineering managers, engineers and QA to develop innovative solutions that meet market needs in respect to functionality, performance, reliability, realistic implementations schedules and adherence to development goals and principles
  • Develop new team capabilities to ensure continued competence and relevance in supporting software development needs of PayPal's business
  • Knowledge of iOS development is preferred
