This position requires the memory knowledge to qualify the growing external known good die (KGD, bare die, or wafer level die) DRAM/Flash memories on Qualcomm System on Chip (SoC) products.

Proactively develop, characterize, and qualify the memories for Qualcomm products.

This role will need the memory spec definition, characterization, failure analysis for driving memory suppliers while working with Qualcomm internal teams.

This role can include new memory spec development based on Qualcomm product requirements, memory process technology readiness evaluation for memory option decision, DRAM/Flash test flow development, failure analysis method setup, wafer/package level reliability qualification flow, wafer/package level yield improvement, production ramping up, memory field fail rate control, and failure analysis for memory fails at Qualcomm or Qualcomm customer return materials, between Qualcomm engineering teams and memory suppliers.

This KGD memory job function can be also extended into future memory solution investigation according to future Qualcomm product roadmap.

Success in this position requires the ability to multi-task and collaborate and proactively drive memory suppliers.

Must be willing to travel occasionally to customers and suppliers as needed.

Must be willing to learn new memory engineering knowledge for future Qualcomm products.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and interpersonal skills for excellent team work.

Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Full DRAM product hands-on qualification experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of DRAM/Flash memory AC-DC datasheet, memory fab parameters, AC-DC characterization, testing items, test flow is a plus.
