About the Job:

In this role, you will be responsible for helping to executing Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope's digital strategy in alignment with business requirements and priorities. This role will support internal and external customer-facing websites and applications, working with key stakeholders. It will play a significant role in support of the web applications for our business environment. This role is accountable for collaborating with key business stakeholders and IT team members to ensure implemented solutions meet business needs and are sustainable and scalable to support business growth across the enterprise.

Here's What You'll Get to Do:

  • Contribute to process improvements and development projects per assigned tasks and responsibilities.
  • Participates in internal design meetings to understand design and functional requirements.
    Oversee specific project segments; lead small projects and be responsible for on-time and on budget completion.
  • Work closely with IT leadership to define required needs; take on larger leadership responsibilities for development activities.
  • Develop more complex programming activities on specific projects.
    Conduct application testing and troubleshooting and develop testing unit test scripts and scenarios.
  • Establish and maintain detailed documentation.


Here's What We're Looking For:

  • Associate's Degree in IT/related discipline or 4-year Bachelor Degree in IT/related discipline (preferred) from an accredited institution in the U.S. or a comparable foreign university.
  • 2+ years experience in software development or an IT-related position
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience programming experience in C#/ASP.NET
  • Java is essential
  • Understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards
  • Familiar with Code Repository Version Control tools (TFS, Git, CVS, PVCS, etc.)
  • Proficient knowledge of relational database design and development
  • Proficient at prioritizing tasks
  • Ability to establish relationships with technical and non-technical professionals
  • Ability to understand business needs and translate these needs into solutions
  • Good verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Effectively presents information to their team and department as needed.
  • Comprehends technical design specifications and possesses knowledge of development tools and technologies in support of the Information Technology architecture.
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • Languages: Java, C#, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Web Tools: HTML5, AJAX, jQuery, JavaScript, CSS3, Bootstrap, HTML5, XML, SOAP & JSON
  • API : Web Services, Postman, any other API platforms
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Azure & AWS technologies/platforms
  • SAP Hybris experience a plus
